Santa Elena Church

Constructed in 1929 with an outer treatment of Neo-Gothic style and a bell gable, it is completeley wood-coated inside.

Santa Elena Beef Industry

The old constructions are an articulated set on English functional style. Among them the high chimneys stand out as well as the streets where the hierarchised employees live, surrounded by green yards. The most impressing house there was especialy built for the administrator between 1910 and 1915 on an English colorful style, with a varity of roofing slopes and surrounded by a park. Another interesting building is the Employees Hotel, matching the general aspect of the area, also destined to the workers of a greater rank, which becomes apparent at the materials’ quality and treatment.

Port

Base of the export in the nineteenth century, nowadays it is used for the fishing. It has a nice footbridge and a coastal walk.

The variety of fish has become a great attraction to the place. From the ancient wharf or the costal walk, fishers can catch a number of species such as surubí (Pseudoplatystoma), dorado (Salminus maxillosus), boga (Leporinus obtusidens), and many others. Aboard a rented boat you can reach some other remote sites for a different view and increase your chances to get a good piece (La Piedra Mora, El Correntoso, La Boca del Tigre, El Verde, La Escuelita or Los Bretes).
